Join the team! We are always open to hosting applicants for external funding, or self-funded students. Positions for which funding has already been secured are listed below:
- A fully funded PhD position is available from September 2022 for a researcher interested in synthetic chemistry of supramolecular systems, coordination chemistry and glycoconjugates, with applications in antimicrobial metallodrugs (an MSc position on the same project will be available next year) – details on how to apply for this opportunity can be found here [PDF] [closing 9 August]
- We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher for our collaborative project with Queen’s University Belfast, designing antimicrobial sensing materials for medical devices. If you have a background in organic synthesis or materials science, please get in touch. Details of the position and how to apply are available here [PDF], on the NUI Galway website, or on Euraxess. [closing 25 August]
Informal enquiries are welcome.

🟦🟨 – In addition to the opportunities above, there are also opportunities for displaced scientists from Ukraine, who are already in Ireland to join on-going projects in the group, either at PhD or postdoc level. Details of the schemes are here: (SFI and IRC). I would be happy to discuss projects in more detail if you think they are suitable for continuing your interrupted research.
